Get Ready to Protest if Mueller is Fired

Hillcrest Indivisible and over 30 other Indivisible groups in San Diego work together as "San Diego County Indivisible." We are working with MoveOn.org, Public Citizen and others to conduct a nationwide, immediate protest if Trump fires Robert Mueller or attempts to impede his investigation. If Mueller is fired, the protest will be triggered immediately. In cases of pardons, firing Rod Rosenstein, or any significant obstacle to the investigation, we will follow the lead of the national coalition on if/when to trigger protests.

The main San Diego County protest location will be downtown at the Federal Courthouse plaza, starting at 5 PM, on the day news breaks. We plan to stay late into the night and return for as many days as we can sustain good numbers. We need all hands on deck!

On Day 1 of action, there are four other rally locations in our region: Temecula’s Duck Pond; Carlsbad Premium Outlets; Escondido Mall; Ramona’s Collier Park. We recognize the utility of people going to the nearest location. But it is very important on Days 2 and 3 that we grow and sustain a massive protest. We ask everyone to head downtown, where the media will be measuring crowd sizes. TV coverage will be critical to reaching the general public and attracting more protesters.

If this happens, we need you to come downtown and bring everyone you know as this will be a constitutional crisis! Please make a plan NOW: consider using Lyft or Uber, decide on a carpool; research public transportation options (https://www.sdmts.com/) and parking options (Parkopedia.com). Email us at www.hillcrestindivisble.com if you can offer a ride or need a ride.

We are coordinating with law enforcement for your safety, and Indivisible’s trained peace keeping team will be out in force. We ask that anyone who wishes to do civil disobedience do so elsewhere. Our message is that NOBODY is above the law; our courthouse protests must remain peaceful and lawful.

We hope these rallies will never be necessary. But get ready!
