On January 20, 2018, we will unite in San Diego to reaffirm our commitment to building a positive and just future for all, and to celebrate the spirit of resistance efforts over the past year. This march is designed to engage and empower voters to support women's rights, human rights, social and environmental justice, and to encourage participation in 2018 midterm elections. A major focus of this event will be on voting and voter registration.
Hillcrest Indivisible will march proudly behind our glorious HI banner in a diverse contingent of people --all who support equality and freedom are welcomed to march. We will also likely be joined by our friends from Indivisibles across the county. We want everyone fired up and ready to go in our firey red HI shirts! Meet at 9:30 by the water statue on the waterfront side of the building. Strongly suggest you get there very early, walk, bike, take the bus or take a Lyft for this event. Last year there were at least 40,000 people there! Parking can be very challenging. Water, comfortable shoes, phone, you know the drill. Organizers have stated that this will be a peaceful rally and they are asking participants to keep it clean, positive and constructive--no hate. Be cognizant of this when making signs and picking chants.
Today, more than ever, we must all stand together!
